Emergency Dentistry

Dental emergencies usually happen without warning and at the worst possible times. If left untreated, it could lead to severe permanent damage.

As a patient-oriented, advanced practice, we offer emergency care and assistance when you need it most. We also use more advanced techniques incorporating slow dentistry to minimise the risk of infection and ensure your overall health and wellbeing.

If you experience any of the following conditions, please don't hesitate to contact us:

  • Painful, swollen gums: Use an antiseptic mouthwash or rinse with warm salt water until you can see us.
  • Toothache: Rinse with warm water regularly, and do not apply painkillers, like aspirin, directly to the area. It is vital to have the area examined as soon as possible.
  • Cracked/chipped teeth: Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to alleviate any swelling.
  • Lost teeth: Keep the tooth moist until you see your dentist - try to soak it in milk.

If you're suffering from a dental emergency, please call us on 076 268 3607. Dr Chalita le Roux will offer immediate emergency advice and schedule a suitable time for your consultation.
