The drive from Honeydew and Cresta (Beyers Naudé corridor) is roughly 10–15 minutes off-peak via Honeydew / Cresta → Beyers Naudé Drive → Hendrik Potgieter → Amorosa, and 15–25 minutes during peak traffic. The easiest drive is we prioritise same-day emergency appointments wherever possible during regular practice hours. What to expect when you arrive from Honeydew & Cresta

When you arrive, reception will check you in immediately. Dr Chalita will assess the area of concern, take any necessary intra-oral photographs and radiographs, and explain what’s happening and what the options are. Where possible we provide same-visit treatment — pain relief, temporary restoration, or definitive same-day repair (a CEREC crown for a fractured tooth, for example). Where the case requires staged treatment, we leave you stable and comfortable, with a written plan and a follow-up appointment booked before you leave.

Will I need to come back for a follow-up?
Many emergencies can be stabilised or resolved in a single visit — particularly fractured teeth that can be rebuilt with same-day CEREC, or lost crowns that can be re-cemented. Where staged treatment is required (root canal followed by a crown, for example) we book the follow-up before you leave.

Can my family book back-to-back appointments?
Yes — we routinely schedule back-to-back appointments for partners, children and parents travelling together. Mention ‘family appointment’ at booking.

What does SAAAD membership mean?
Membership of the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry is a verifiable, peer-recognised commitment to ongoing education in aesthetic dentistry. It is not a specialist register — South African dental specialties are limited to seven HPCSA-recognised categories. Membership is verifiable on saaad.co.za.

Dr Chalita le Roux (née Johnson) is the founding dentist of Dr Chalita le Roux Inc. in Amorosa Office Park, Roodepoort. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, where she was awarded the 2019 Dental Materials Prize and Academic Honorary Colours.
